Courtyard Living and Circulation
Level thresholds guide movement from lounge to dining to terrace. The courtyard space offers protection from the wind and elements and an alternative outdoor space. For related scope see Architectural Services.
Structure and Material
Exposed rafters and timber trusses are retained and expressed. A mezzanine lounge and bedrooms sit within the roof volume with views to the landscape. Joinery, flooring and exterior finishes are coordinated to provide continuity. The work is consistent with the method of a southern cape architect FC Holm.
